Some more of Céline’s pics from our shoot a couple weeks ago. Some of them can be found on my website but for the sake of keeping them altogether I’ll put them here. There are a couple more pics waiting to be edited but I will wait until I buy PHOTOSHOP! Like after vacation. But what I really can’t wait to show you though are the pics I took of her wearing her very own clothing label. Hope to share her website with you soon.

a shoot and current reads
I have a shoot next week. The client and I are collaborating on a TFP basis. We got together today to gloss over magazine clippings for ideas. I am envisioning something along the lines of two of my favourite photographers whose work have a huge influence on me. Erik Asla and Wolfgangludes. Of course I will be using natural light as I don’t have the luxury of their lighting setups.
And some books that I am currently reading in regards to photography: “The Hasselblad Manual” by Ernst Wildi. Hasselblads are medium format cameras that now come with digital backs and are used mainly by commercial photographers with big budgets, or anyone that can afford one. I saw them for the first time on ANTM. The other book is “Starting Your Career As A Freelance Photographer.” The author is Tad Crawford but each chapter is written by a different person, or an expert on such topics in regards to getting started, building and protecting your business, marketing your photography, negotiating contracts and prices, and the law. Makes for an informative read.

playing to a different tune
The pic on the left is Pascale performing at a Salon Concert. Usually when you perform in a recital you wear all black. Not Pascale. She wore the most colourful dress she could find in her wardrobe and pair of very high heels! I told her not to but I forget she’s a teen now. When one of the parents told her to pull a leg I snorted. Fortunately she didn’t pull a leg. Rather she mesmerized the audience with the pretty flowers on her outfit. Of course there were no audience distractions when time came to perform for the school orchestra concert dressed in black a couple days later (right pic).
