I had a perfect pair of jeans
that I wore
day-in, day-out.
But there are holes now;
big holes in the knees
and two behind.
(It is unfortunate
the store I bought them from
no longer sells them.)
I would wear them out
if not for the holes that accentuate
the parts I want hid.

Dumped—Canon Powershot S410
The waves have a rhythm
that swell and crash with force,
then rest from their labours.
During their repose
passers-by run through
to avoid being sprayed.
But some time the surges poorly
and are splashed;
the risk-takers drenched.
I watch this perched atop a rock
with my camera in hand
waiting.
And I think how like an eagle I am
as I peer through the lens
surveying those below.
