french stationery

I am sending the following items to a homeschool mother of three young children who lives in the states. In return she will be sending me goodies representive of the area in which she is from. I wish I could send her back food but postal rates are expensive and food packages can be heavy. I have instead, after much thought, decided to send stationery products that French children use, some of which can only be found in France.

easter cookies at the beach

Paris is back from Poitiers and the children are all now on Easter break. Today we went to the beach to eat our Easter cookies (that I bought from Wholefoods back in Austin) because the children couldn’t wait for Easter—and this time Chase was happy with his bird.

beep!

“The kids at school wanted to know what the English word for *#&$ was.”

“What did you tell them?”

“I gave them a milder word, but they knew it wasn’t the right word.”

Chuckle.

“Mummy!”

“Yes handsome!”

“A boy at school wanted me to tell him what the English word for &#(@ was too!”

“And what did you tell him!”

“Well, I told him the truth!”

“What was that?”

“Beep!”

“Hehe, I think you watch too much television little guy.”

paris to poitiers

The last couple days Paris has been packing and repacking her bags for her class trip to Poitiers’ Futuroscope. Last night she went to bed early and woke up this morning to her alarm (if I had let her, she would have probably driven herself to the station as well). But no matter how much she prepared there was something she had forgotten in amongst the excitement. When we arrived at the station she remembered that she had forgotten to pack her toothbrush—so it looks like someone will be using her finger for a toothbrush for three days.
