four thousand pairs of glasses

These aprons are not the only snazzy thing I saw today. Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Biarritz France collected 4,000 pairs of donated secondhand glasses for Africa. How snazzy snazzy is that!

Today volunteers and friends of the church sorted through the pairs of glasses and then washed and polished them. I only cleaned about ten pairs because I went camera happy going from one station to another taking shots—only to find out later that many of my pics didn’t come out because the lense on my camera was smudgy. Looks like the people in Africa aren’t the only ones that might need glasses!

But after a fun couple hours of hard work—voila! Boxes of glasses packed ready bound for Africa.
